Tinsley is lucky he is in America. In some countries, he and his posse would have all been shot dead and their luxury autos would have never been seen again. How many baseball players have you heard about who go back to their countries over the winter and are victims of carjackings because the thieves know they have money? A lot of them get shot. Usually one or two every winter.
While visiting strip clubs at 3 in the morning and cruising around in luxury autos are all legal, it is extremely dangerous to do, especially when you are a well known professional athlete. If he is willing to take that risk, then he has to suffer the consequences of what happens. If the NBA has the guts of the NFL, they will suspend him for 20 games (1/4th of the season) simply for his bad decisions and increase the suspension if he is found guilty of a crime.
Other than having a subpar shooting percentage, he is having a very good year averaging over 8 assist a game. It would be too bad if he wasted his career away in favor strip clubs and partying.

in regards to paris hilton u kinda have a point, but ill address that later. donald trump and mayor bloomberg (the mere fact that you try to relate these 2 people to this is laughable) do not roll up to strip clubs with their posse in 3 different cars at 3:40am. they do not go around carrying guns, and yet, for some reason that obviously seem to not be able to figure out, do not get shot at often as do jamaal or sean.

There is a difference between people knowing you are wealthy and someone letting everyone know they are wealthy by flashing rolls of cash and driving around questionable neighborhoods at 3 am in a rolls royce. Had Tinsley rolled down the Vegas strip at 3 am, no one would have even noticed. It is not about what you do, but how and where you do it.
I used to have a job where I worked until 2 or 3 in the morning. I had a 30 mile drive through a rural area home. I got stopped 15 times by highway patrol, county deputies, and city cops in one year but never received a ticket. Why did I get stopped? Because nothing good happens after 2 am and the chance was greater that I was doing something wrong (like driving drunk) so they just stop everyone figuring there is a good chance they will get an arrest. I am now always home by midnight and haven't been stopped for anything in years.
My guess is that if Tinsley was always home at midnight (or within a half hour of when he left the arena) he would never get in trouble and never have anyone shooting at him.
As for the tragic shooting of Sean Taylor, his death was caused by his celebrity and wealth. He wasn't personally targeted, but his house was because those kids knew who owned the house and there was a good possiblity that something of value was there.
I agree, that it isn't smart to display your wealth like that, but blaming these guys for others attempting to victimize them is wrong. The problem in these cases are the guys doing the shooting.
The thing is, any group of 20 somethings, who go from abject poverty to wealth, in a matter of a few years are going to make poor decisions. Further, look internationally, the same thing happens to athletes all over the world (they act irresponsibly, get into fights, are robbed etc).

Are you actually arguing that he wasn't taking any chances driving 3 expensive cars at that time to a bar? For that matter, how many other Rolls are driving around the middle of Indiana.
What he did is equivalent to a white guy from the suburbs buying a new Mercedes and going to the housing projects to flaunt it. It's his right to do it, sure, but he'll need you to defend him when he gets car jacked or shot at.

I know that it's almost against the law in Indiana to speak out against Larry Legend, but it's his team, and his guys (remember Marquis Daniels was the guy that he was really high on). a good reason could be because reggie was a leader. He played the game fundamentality without show boating all the time, without getting in trouble constantly off the court, generally being a good role model for the time, thats what it takes to be a leader.
Now you have tinsley leading the team and they are what, around .500? not saying reggie's teams were always the b est, but didnt they make it to the playoffs consistantly, and even to the finals that one year?
