For the record, I just want to repeat myself from a previous post a few weeks ago on how the Hogs will be Top 5 at nats. For the record...They will prove all the haters wrong and be right in the thick of things and place Top 5. Don't say I didn't tell you:)
For the record they wont be top 5. I said it here, but probably not the 1st to say it. Just because they won doesnt mean sh**! They have a week region other than maybe texas. Look at the mountain region and some other ones. Cu beat UTEP and NAU and I would say thats pretty damn good since they raped CU at pre-nats. The top 5 will be (not in any praticular order):
Colorado
oregon
Wisco
Utep
iona

Is cute when you try to write forcefully, but don't know how.
Sorry, it's going to be messy...

Thanks for the results.
The Hogs: Look at the time spread carefully. At nationals, this is what will happen:
Matt Munoz will run consistent as always; he stepped it up big today and will be consistent at Nationals as well. However, he will be the 5th man.
Scott MacPherson will run very solid, but not the race of his life; he'll still contribute in a very solid way for the team. He'll be the 4rd man.
Chris Barnicle will have the race of his life and be the Hog's number 2 guy. He is all about the big races and shows up when he needs to. Barny, we need you to show up and believe you can do it.
Tyler Hill. Tough as nails and may be the "Tim Broe" of the SEC with his racing tenacity; small town kid works his butt off in college and makes a huge impact in his last college cross country race. He will be the 3rd man, but could possibly switch with Barny; they will be close and will work together.
Shawn Forrest will relax, regroup, and rebound from today's poor race. Yes, it's regionals and it was a big race, but they won and that's all that matters. At nationals, we need you Shawn. Forget the haters and what others think of you: only you and your teammates know how much you want this so stay focused and relax. Self-pressure will not make you run any faster or better; get your body ready for the best performance yet, of your college career.
The Hogs will not dominate, we all know that. But, what they will do is work together, keep the time spread tight and get the first 5 in fast and close together. They will do what the Buffs of old normally do. No top runner? Okay. You don't need a guy to win it to finish top 5, but you do need consistency and for everyone to show up and do their part. Celebrate tonight, but get ready for Nats and that course in Terre Haute. There is no curse or black cloud over that city for you; it is time to shake the haters off and do what you do: Excell!
If Munoz was still at Texas, they would have won. Both teams should be top ten at Nationals, as usual.
