Jordan Hasay did the same thing for years, but began to fulfill her promise only when she and her coach saw the reality. Hopefully Chanelle and her coach will do so as well.
If Alan Webb had kept going out in 1:49, he would have impressed the hell out of people, but still would have been a 4:01 high school miler.
This is the first race of the season. She has not made this mistake "over and over again" as you say. She ended up doing pretty damn well last year and I'm sure she'll end up doing pretty damn well this year as well.
