where is that?
China
What's the over/under on the number of runners from that list going out in sub 1:11 and finishing in over 2:30?
I'll put $50 on 50!..;)
yeah i put 50 bucks on 75+...
Remember, anyone under 2:30 can get a top 100 bib. That's a lot of guys in the 2:25-30 range with big dreams. Wish I was there.

yes but there are a lot on there that have never been under 2:30
Unless you guys are considering DNF as 2:30+ I think you're way off. I think it's going to be a nice big group going conservatively at 2:22, so a lot will make it. The rest, once it becomes clear it's not going to happen, will stop to save themselves for some money races in the next few months. No one gains anything by running a 2:30 here.
they either had to be under 1:11 or 2:31

Jeremy Borling, too. Ran for GBTC last year and just moved back to IL.
I forgot about the DNFs. How long do you go at a suicidal pace before calling it a day? You could still maybe sneak in a PR through the back door.

alan quit hating, dude, cuz you are not going to be there. too bad they all can\'t be as fast as you... running color by number art is more like it..

61...is this miss print?
Matt Folk from Ohio has run 2:20 within the qualifying window and is registered for the trials. Why would people in that situation run Chicago? It's not like 2:15 - 2:20 guys will get a big payday.
I also wondered about Folk. Maybe he just registered early before he hit the 2:20?
Folk was also on the list that someone posted of the elites for the Twin Cities Ten Miler that is on the same weekend as Chicago. My guess is he signed up for the marathon before he hit the standard and will now run the TC 10-Mile instead as a tune-up for the Trials.
That list is from 2006. Old. Out of date. Zing. Zang. Zoom.
I don't think that is 2006 otherwise I would have been on there.
I could be wrong though.
Or maybe some people who signed up last year but passed, and were granted an entry into 2007 (even if they aren't running) are on there. I see one guy who signed up for '06, passed, and have no plans on running it in '07.
