Isn't it the case that there are always 10,000,000 things that have to fall in to place for anyone to medal. Goucher did it. Kastor did not. Doesn't matter what you think would happen were they to race 100 times. Today Goucher beat Kastor when the stakes were the highest. It's a magnificent performance to medal at a Worlds.

Well, I would consider Colm O'Connell and those who coach the elite Africans as "pro coaches" and they are doing better than Salazar, so I would say it is obvious he is not the best coach.
