hahaha, yeah so was i. also, working in running retail for about 5 years, i have to say. nike makes the very best clothes. period. the owner who has been in the sports retail business for 30 years will agree. i dont really like their shoes so much, but they know what they are doing when it comes to clothes.

Nike isn't coming out with the new Vick shoe line anymore. They have postponed it until further notice. Good for them.
The new Vick is not an air model but a dog shit model. When the dog shit bags pop -- as the air bags invariably will -- the shit comes out all over the shoe. Naturally the ad campaign for these is "Just Doo." I believe they plan to expand the line, to include quite a varity of dog shit to choose from, depending on how much cushion and stability you need and what kind of a smell you like.
I was also told all the new Vick shoes will be designed for racing, or at least for really fast running getting away from dogs.
I thought they were spiked shoes for STOMPING dogs.
do your research before you call for a boycott, they have suspended the release and if Vick is found guilty they are cancelling it.

Why are runners so against Nike? They do more for the sport than a couple of the other companies combined. Go ahead boycott Nike, might as well kill the sport if it's fans mostly consist of idiots.
Nike's most profitable sport is basketball. But #2 is and always has been running. After all, how big is the market for football shoe customers vs. running shoe customers. Football shoes last longer (1-2 seasons) than running shoes and far fewer people buy football shoes. Even if Phil Knight didn't give a crap about running, Nike would still focus a lot of their attention on running shoes/clothing because running is Nike's 2nd most profitable sport -- ahead of football, tennis, soccer and general purpose cross-training exercise shoes.
Boycotting Nike shouldn't take a lot of effort for reasonable consumers of running products.
Nike's functional apparrel isn't any better than any other brand; you can buy stuff from Road Runner Sports that is just as good and significantly less expensive. As for the line of Nike shoes, well, it's total crap. All fashion; no function. (Although I admit that they seem to work well enough for neutral, efficient runners.)
But as good as Nike's marketing team has been at duping the public into thinking they have good running stuff, I'm sure they'll have us all worshiping Vick in no time.
you are a moron. i'm not in nike's bed, but they make shoes for all gait types just like someone like new balance. do they also have their bullshit shoes? of course. it's a two-headed monster, they have their finish line market and their runner's market, be those runners "performance" or "fitness" or whatever kind of runner type you want to box them in. you should go run more miles, you are obviously not doing enough aerobic base. gotta dissapate some of that hot air.
