Everyone I know (from Ohio) says PR.
PB - PR isn't used around here (England) and a large % of people wouldn't know what you were talking about.
PR
PB = European
PR = AMerican

PBR
Very funny.
It's PR in Merikin.
PB in C,eh?N,eh?D,eh? and Great(sic) Britain
PR all the way. If someone says PB, that's usually a signal for me to keep my distance.
PBR. All the way, for the totally white collar, upscale means of getting completely shitfaced.
PR, almost everyone I know around here says PR
most of the reast of the english speaking world says pb
I say WR
Scottish athletics magazine is called 'PB magazine' .
Since i am from Scotland, i might start saying 'PR' just to be cool..lol
F you, peeps. I'm from CA, and I'm a PR guy. Once again, you don't know what the F you are talking about.
I'll third the California sentiment, PR.
This is a very stupid discussion.
In California here, we would laugh at anyone that said PB. PR all the way

pb is lame, i prefer pr.
it sounds way cooler to say "i pr'ed today" instead of "i pb'ed today"
Agree!

It's kinda funny. When you say the words outright, "Personal Best" sounds better than "Personal Record". But when you say just the letters, "PR" sounds better than "PB"
I also agree with this. I suppose PR follows from WR and AR, and not many of us can lay claim to either of those last two.
Un fortunately, I haven't had to worry about it in a loooong time. But, I would say PR.
Saying PB is equally as lame as referring to the marathon as a "thon"
