Well during the NCAA women's 4x400 one of the guy announcers was talking about the last leg "passing runners like they're standing still" and she hadn't passed or even made up ground on anyone. It made less sense than anything Carol Lewis has said.

well, yesterday at NCAAs, she said, for the women's 4x400..."this is gonna be juicy"....at that particular point in the telecast, I threw up on the remote
During the Men's 4x400 Carol called LaJerald Betters "LaJome" Betters. Also after he ran the first turn she was talking about how much of a mistake he made not running the turn harder, and then Lajerald proceeeded to split 44 and down the homestretch she was like "what a leg by LaJome Betters!"
That might actually be accurate.
Why do so many letsrun.com fans have the hots for Carol. It is obvious. Quit touching yourselves when you post about her.

The best ever was when she said, "the second leg of the
4x100 is the longest." And she is a sprinter, I think.
You are obviously less intelligent than Carol. The second leg IS (or at least has the potential to be) the longest leg of the 4x100m. That's why any smart coach will put their fastest runner on the 2nd leg. Dix ran the second leg at NCAAs.
Carol is brighter than anyone who has posted on this thread. She is making much money - you aren't.
he ran so fast he might've caught a cold
Frankly, I almost don't even notice she's there. We all know the sport very well. We can watch. I'd be okay if there were no announcers at all.
Carol is o.k. TV sucks for not blocking out flocasts. Carol should join flocasts.
at the start of NCAA 4x400, said Baylor\'s leg was making a rookie mistake for not getting out fast. He then preceded to pass the entire field and split 44.x.
"He's running like a locust!" referring to the same Baylor runner on the home stretch.
"what is Wallace Spearmon's strategy going to be today?"
(in the 200m?)
After one of the girls lining up for the 1500 lost her balance and stepped over the starting line causing the starters to line them up again. It wasnt a false start but she simply lost her balance.
Carol says, "THAT GIRL FALSE STARTED! SHE STEPPED OVER THE LINE" She then went on to say, "It always amazes me. You get someone that runs the 1500 and they think getting out ahead with that first step is really going to make a difference"
Your key word is "potential". Hey Dumba$$ they all have the potential to be the longest. It depends on how you set them up and yes, you usually put your power leg second. But they are all 100 meters long. Dumb$hit
I thought Carol Lewis did a fine job. She did as good a job as her peers. And I'm not sure why she gets so much flak or why the expectation for her analyst skills is higher than her peers?
you are just diggin a whole on this one.
I actually interviewed Carol Lewis for a tiny website once. She actually explained, coherently, why Jonathan Edwards was a better triple jumper than anyone else. I was kinda impressed.

Depending on where the handoff is made, they are rarely exactly 100m. In an event that close, the extra hundredths gleamed can make a huge difference.
I call bullshit.
Again, you must not be very smart. Think about it.
They are all 100 meters long. You keep using words like,
"potential" and "depending on," that is exactly what I said.
