At the ING Georgia races, one of the athletes in their kit was Tatyana Podznyakova, and that move was not well-received by the masters women in the ATC. Not a good PR move by Foot Solutions.

Personally, I find today's stunt a little crass, but I don't like the idea of springs in the shoes either.

From the guys I've talked to, the company ties their pay to media coverage - newspaper pics, magazine ads, and apparently leading Boston.

I think the commentators know who they are but are trying not to give them the publicity they're trying to seek.

Maybe they've caught on - no men's coverage for the moment.

The radio guys just identified them correctly by name, but said they are from Georgia.

Is anyone else having trouble seeing the commentary on Boston's own website?

Ok, yet again, I'm watching and yet again I'm vowing to write them a letter and see please hire me and a buddy (maybe Chris Lear) and we'll make the broadcast a) funny b) way more full of accurate info for both the average fan and elite fan.

I mean they just showed a pair of adidas racing flats which have a whole in the bottom and Rawson said that it will let water in the top and bottom so watch out.

Uh, considering it's raining, there shoes are going to get wet. My response, thank god for the whole in the bottom as it will let the water out. I mean he said the exact opposite of what I would have said.

They just said the women's lead pack ran a 6:11 in their last mile and compared the pace to a training run.

It's nice that the commentators aren't covering those guys. How lame is it that they are trying to promote their product during the race? Spira and Foot Solutions are crap. Anyways...there is a pack of about twenty guys who are all running together and the top pack of eight women are all running together and look pretty slow since I think no one wants to take the lead.

Yeah...just keep calling them rabbits.

Foot Solutions is a store for people to go to and pay 10-20 dollars more than suggested retail for shoes and they force people into 60-70 dollar inserts. They basically rip people off.

And Spira don't get me started. The guys who own and started the company are a couple of the biggest douche bags on the face of tha planet.

Eurosport still covering them and giving names but not saying company or that it's the shoes.

Occasionally flicks back to main mens race, looks like about 35 of them all jogging together.

Jelena leading ladies race, no-one wants to lead though...

Eurosport announcers aren't quite that bad, seem alright, esp. compared to the ones for London and most races (Brendan Foster...eeuurgh!).

Huh I've never heard of this Spira thing before.

I know there are guys that arent supposed to be leading the race in the front, but would it kill them to show the mens race a little.
