Who make the WORST running shoes out there now?

you guys are idiots. the structure, pegasus, vomero, elite and moto are all better than anything newbalance makes, not to mention everything from brooks except the adrenaline and new glycerine.

new balance is easily the worst major brand followed very closely by adidas (not counting reebok, avia, etonic, and fila).

how much did you just get paid to post that? you must be the short little guy with the ugly face that looked like a bean bag that i saw running the other day in those pink pegasus shoes.

aside from there spikes, nike running shoes blow ass, most of the real running stores in my area dont even carry the brand because competitive runners dont screw with nike shit... when bowerman passed away the company went downhill

I think if you stick to the Bowerman series then Nike has pretty good shoes. One thing I found working at a running store is that people get a bad opinion of certain brands and most of the time they aren't running in the right shoe for them. For me the Air Structure Triax is great but the Pegasus is horrible. Most people here probably know better but keep that in mind.I have had bad luck with the high end shoes - I don't like the Brooks Trance or the Asics Kayano, but I love the Brooks Adreneline GTS and Asics 2100 series. I don't think there are any BRANDS that I like, I can usually always find at least one model that I like.

Spira! Hands down the worst shoe I have ever tried. Spira's so-called "Wave spring technology" is a joke. For anyone not familiar with them they put actual metal springs in the forefoot and rear. It's supposed to return "Maximum Energy" back to you but gave me nothing but extreme pain in the hip area. I dropped them in a goodwill box with less than 150 miles on them.

Brooks and Mizuno do not make any $40 running shoes that I know of. They don't waste time making that crap and as a result, I think they have some of the best shoes out there.

Nike makes a few good shoes, but they make A LOT of bad shoes, so they get my vote for worst.

Hands down - Nike makes the absolute worst line of running shoes! I've been running for 27 years (and I also have 13 years experience in retail sales of running specialty products), and not ONCE have I seen a Nike shoe come down the pike that wasn't more about fashion than function.

Hand it to Nike's marketing team, though. They obviously do a helluva job at keeping the running public fooled.

I really don't like or hate a certain brand.

Nike has probably got a lot of "bad" shoes simply because they have MORE shoes than anyone else.

My favorites are Brooks and Saucony, but it's definitely and INDIVIDUAL thing because I only buy those because they have stablizing shoes with the Adrenaline, and Omni.

The Loco Bandito is one of the best shoes ever made. To me everything else is the worst.

I'm a big fan of Mizuno and to a lesser extent, Asics. I've never worn brooks trainers, but I love the T4s too.

I find that Nike is hit or miss as far as shoes go- I have had some pairs of Nikes that I absolutely loved (Air Max Triax was awesome in the late 90s), and some pairs I have really not liked at all (Hayward, Zoom Elite II).

There has only been one model of shoes that I have gone back to again and again, and its Mizuno. They make a good product, somewhat reasonable prices, and they fit my foot great. The Wave Rider 7s set my standards for running shoes- haven't had anything nearly as good since, unfortunately.

No one shoe make is better or worse, generally speaking.

Who really cares what shoe works for someone else? I cannot wear Nike, does that make Nike the worst company ever?

I can wear NB and Asics, good for me.

I think its unfair to say a brand is the worst. Some models of the said brand can work great, you just haven't tried them. Personally, I like the Haywards by Nike. My feet feel cozy in them. I also like the Gel-cumulus by Asics. My feet also feel cozy in those. Why everyone needs to say Nike sucks because whatever, and New Balance sucks because whatever is stupid!

However, I do have one problem with almost all brands. They don't leave the same shoe. They are constantly changing the models and I really don't appreciate it. For example some people loved the 02 Pegasus'. Then they changed them until now the 07 model is said to suck (I've never worn any pegasus). My complaint with shoe companies is just that. They change the model and a lot of times discontinue the old model that people loved!
