Was Grosso the one who was last place at 1/2 way at the Kinney championships and then won? If so, I was quite impressed with his race. Thanks for the updates of how he is doing.
I happened to meet Dave Murray before he was head coach, and he was quite a fine fellow, easy to get along with and generous.
RUNDMC9, that must have been another person. I'm the real person Brian Grosso from which this thread started in 2006. Living in Maryland and I own a business, look me up. I'll can still run under 16 minutes for 5k with two weeks notice. I never ran over 50 miles per week in HS or 100 miles week ever.

Theirs was no money in distance running back then or even now. It might pay for college. Might keep you off the streets and drugs. It gives you goals to shoot for and is a confidence builder. How many people make the Olympic Team? Pre lived off food stamps and welfare. That's probably why he quit running. No job.
