Glycerin!!! No contest. Running in it now. The cumulus feels like cardboard.

Wow this has really turned into a bashing thread quick. I personally don't like the cumulus but lots of other people do. I don't like asics that much as a company, but it has nothing to do with the quality of their shoes. Like most of the people posting on thsi thread I work at a specialty running store. Asics' customer service, my local sales rep, and their availability of fill-ins is why I don't like them. Asics would probably be my #1 brand if their small retailer support was as god as their shoes.
The Glycerin has to be the least cushioned high end cushioning shoe... ever.

According to the SPS survey of specialty running stores, the Cumulus is the 14th best selling shoe YTD.

2. BROOKS Adrenaline 6
3. BROOOKS Beast/Ariel <-- top motion control
4. ASICS Gel Kayano XII
5. MIZUNO Wave Rider <-- top cushion
6. ASICS Gel Nimbus VII
7. Saucony GRID Omni 5 Moderate
8. BROOKS Addiction 6
9. MIZUNO Wave Alchemy 5
10. NEW BALANCE 766
11. SAUCONY GRID Hurricane 8
12. NEW BALANCE 857
13. ADIDAS Supernova Classic
14. ASICS GEL Cumulus VII
15. ADIDAS Supernova Control
I am very curious to know which stores were surveryed in this report.
Missing the Fortitude, Radius, and I do not see Adidas as being top selling. Addiction is not that great of a shoe, how is the Beast/Ariel a top selling shoe when not even a percent of people in this world even need that shoe.

And Asics is our #1 seller, barnone. We do get good customer service with them, our reps are very good people and availibility for fills in are good. Maybe the owner of your store has gotten on the wrong side of Asics. Do you deal with Asics USA, or AQP in Canada?
That's interesting that you say $10 price difference....I'd be interested to see where you can get a glycerin that cheap. brooks raised their prices so it retails a 110.
