I replied in your other thread a few weeks ago. I don't train in the waffles-- they're just casual shoes. Too much heel lift to run in but definitely a comfy, flexible shoe to kick around.
My training is great-- I've been at 85-90 mpw for about 2 months now since running a half marathon. I should go over 100 in the next few months.

where is everyone getting their new h-streets? i've put about 800 miles on mine but too much pavement is causing the bottom to wear through a little bit and i'd like to get some new ones because since ive switched i have had 0 injury problems and my lower legs/knees have never felt so good
I have purchased some from zappos.com before. They have various deals depending on size, color, and style. I wear size 12's and they very rarely have my size in any style.
The pair I ordered yesterday were from the actual Puma website. I went here because they had the H-Street R's in my size as opposed to the straight H-Streets or the H-Street NM's.
According to the description the R stands for ripstop nylon, as in the shoe's material. The pair I currently have 1,100 miles on are NM's and are almost completely torn from the sole all the way around. I am hoping this ripstop material lasts longer because the soles of my NM's are still fine. (The bottoms are almost completely smooth, but did the little nubs really do anything?)

In high school I usually put about 1,000 miles on a pair of shoes before buying new ones. But the ones i'm currently wearing having 10,000+ miles on them. I've been wearing them for over two years. I tried switching to new shoes at one point last year, but got a minor knee injury right away, so I switched back and have felt fine since then.
I have 140,000 on mine.
I second Zappos. My last two pairs have been at a Puma Outlet Store ($46 total for both). I also have been wearing the NM's and wear them until the upper peels off the sole (~1,000 miles). Haven't tried the R's (afraid to jinx myself!).

Oops, this post was by me.
I've always gone with 500 as the magic number, but this summer I've been poor so I rang a pair of Asics Cumulus up to 900 and put unknown put pretty high number on an old pair of DS trainers. Both are still OK but worn through the rubber on the lateral side just in front of the plastic arch piece. I got a new pair of shoes a couple of weeks ago and felt like I was running on pillows. Really makes me wonder if I should start doing all my runs in lighter shoes like all you so-called minimalist weirdos.
Not as many as I will when the oil runs out.
ASICS.
As of now I have 436.9 miles on my sheos, once I get some cash flow I'm going back to Asics GT's.
I put as many miles on my Asics Tiger Paws as they can handle before they fall apart; either wearing out in the sole or getting a hole in the big toe upper.

BTW: it took me over 100 miles before I started to sorta like the tiger paw replcement/update - the hyper speed...dammit Asics!
