LeBron has had many more great teammates than Jordan did. Wade, Bosh, Kyree, Love, Davis, Luka.
More great teammates. Less rings.
All those bros didn’t play on the same team though. Did he ever have as good a team around him as Jordan in the 90s? Did Jordan in the 90s have to face teams as good as the Steph/KD Warriors or the Duncan/Parker/Ginobili/Kawhi Spurs? There are numerous factors here.
In any event, leading your teams to 10 NBA Finals in a 30 team league is an awesome postseason record.
Not sure what I’m arguing here though since I’m a conventional 1. Jordan 2. LeBron guy.
only old boomer farts think jordan is the goat, everyone knows it’s lebron
False. When you walk/travel, carry the ball and don’t pass when you should, you'll always have higher stats. He's changed the rules and cries when he misses and doesn't get a free trip to the free throw line.
He will never be the GOAT because that title belongs to Wilt Chamberlain. No one could score and rebound like Wilt, not even close.
Wilt is getting aged out of this debate... but if the guy could have shot free throws... I think even the younger people couldn't ignore is stats.
Wilt's biggest problem was that he rarely had a great surrounding cast. At the end of his career the Lakers provided that. But prior to the Lakers, the Sixers had some talent but the Celtics were all superstar types. The Celtics were truly in the league of their own.
Jordan never forced his no-talent kid onto an NBA roster.
Lets be clear, LJ has done multiple things MJ never did. And maybe MJ could have, but MJ was on an elite team with an elite coach for a run of championships. LJ has won with 3 100% different teams, was essentially the coach of one of them with a rookie coach, took cavs team to the 'chip that was average roster at best (lost that one). We talk about the importance of "chemistry", and coaching, and all that but when someone wins with any group of players or coaches thrown at him, we don't give them extra credit for that? LJ has better stats across the board except 6 'chips with one elite team with the same HOF coach. Ill give Jordan some credit for having more championships but that is a team stat too. Lebron is clearly much much more elite at raising the sometimes limited talent around him to championships wherever he stops with any coach with any team. Lebron is a more elite passer, more elite rebounder and on and on. Lebron checks about 8 boxes MJ does not. he did all that not as a hired gun, but as a guy expected to raise the level of everyone around him. Note i did not even mention the career points.
Oh, sorry, yes the Bronny thing was a little weird.
Based on what I see on Facebook and LetsRun, the LeBron hate is a genuine sociological phenomenon. If you wanna make some “hot take” that LeBron only ranks 4th or 5th all time, fine, but there seem to be millions who have convinced themselves he was never a good basketball player. It’s crazy.
I think republicans tend to hate him for some reason, I'm not sure exactly why that is.

What?
Jerry West. Gail Goodrich. Elgin Baylor. Happy Hairston. Pat Riley.
It's, of course, subjective. Legitimate cases could be made for Magic Johnson, Kareem, Jordan, Chamberlain and Russell as being the GOAT. But I don't think there such a thing as an overall best player of all time anyway. Instead there are always a handful of players during each era that could be considered the best.
People have hated Lebron since 2003, all because he had the audacity to be as good as Jordan was, or at least to make it close. Other great players like Kobe, Duncan, Shaq, Steph, D Wade, whoever, don't inspire that same hatred because they're not as good.

It is ironic isnt it? I don't root for Lebron because he played for the cavs and lakers and Im a pistons fan, but as best i can tell, he has been successful, played the right way, no trouble with substance abuse, same girl for decades, invested his money wisely, and is generally pretty professional with the press. Isn't there better people to hate on? The odds were against a poor kid coming into the league at 18 and not getting into trouble.

This is no more relevant than Jordan being a terrible owner or front office guy. In case anyone missed it, the Charlotte Bobcats/Hornets have never not sucked under MJ's ownership.
