What sport has the WORST athletes

our crew team is the mos tunathletic group of people ever and they try and argue that they are awesome. Every1 of them will get picked close to last in gym class,lol, and none of them play any othe rsports or have ever played anything else. I tried arguing with this one girl on the team how if we were take the best football players in the school and put them in a race against the crew that theyd win. But than she went on to say its not all about strength, its also about speed. I said every1 of them can run high4's for a 40 yd dash and can bench 250 lbs. i think theyd beat them

I'll be the first to say no sport (at the world class level) has "bad athletes."

I know that I could never hit a 95 mph fastball, hit a golf ball in a hole so far away I can't even see, ect.

Only curling, maybe croquet.

Oh I get it, girls can't be race car drivers because they're bad drivers, right? Right? Where is the law the says women have to be inferior athletically to men? I guess ultrarunning isn't a sport either, since there are some females who could house most males. But of course, this is letsrun, where even mentioning ultrarunning will unleash a torrent of insults.

In prep school, every spring, our swim team would play a game of football against our football team. Swimmers always won. It was hilarious.

Oh yea, I forgot how unathletic a sport played at 35 mph on tiny little blades on a slippery surface, where the puck routinely moves at 75+mph, and guys are looking to take your head off at any moment is. Worst athletes on earth.

Maybe walk into a hockey rink and try to explain why the players are not good athletes. Then, when you are taken to the hospital, try to explain what happened to you after losing teeth, breaking orbital bones and ribs, tearing ligaments, and suffering severe lacerations. The difference between you and a hockey player is: you couldn't explain it while they would have skipped the hospital trip and not missed their next shift.

Actually I said nothing about women being bad drivers or good drivers. We are talking about athletic ability. It is not an opinion, it is a fact that men are better athletes because of testosterone. They are just naturally stronger and faster than women. That is not a put down, just a fact. The top men are always stronger, faster, quicker than the top women.

In terms of ultra marathoning, you are correct in that the top women are very close to the top men in ultra marathoning. Why is that? Because the top men do not run ultra marathons. Please tell me you don't believe that if the top marathoners (both men and women) competed in ultra's that the men would not be way ahead. These are just facts that you aren't grasping.

So with all that in mind, the fact that Danica can compete with the men in auto racing shows that it is less athletic than many sports. I'm just stating facts here, not opinions.

Crew is a sport where taller athletes are favored; longer limbs means more leverage on the oar, which translates to more power. However, YOU ALSO MUST BE ABLE TO HANDLE AN OAR. With running, you just do it. Form happens naturally. With rowing, form must be worked on EVERY DAY, in addition to attaining peak physical condition.

No other sport combines a group of uncoordinated, yet conditioned guys like rowing. Just like the army recruits are the fittest and strongest people in the country. You must be an athlete who can't hit a fastball or make an open 3 pointer. Handle an oar? Does it take years to learn to use 2 hands to pull it through the water?

Don't kid yourself.

Rowing is the sport for Americans who want to compete at a sport but are awful at basketball, football, baseball, soccer, track, hockey, golf, swimming, wrestling, and lacrosse. I have been on several major college campuses (BCS football schools) where the crew team advertised on telephone poles to encourage people to try out for the team. Why not go for bobsledding, ballroom dancing, or luge? You might make it to the olympics.
