Can we give the kid a break? When many of us were 17 years old, we didn't have any strong comprehension of Financial Literacy and we were more preoccupied with Teenager Things such as dating and yes, cars.
How many of us would be able to look in the mirror and say we wouldn't be intrigued with buying a super expensive car the moment we had some form of what we consider "real money"?
The main takeaway I have from this news story is that Cooper's Parents are providing him with a good level of grounding so his ego doesn't get too large- a very difficult thing to do when a person has the world at their feet at only 17 years old.
Bottom Line: Cooper is a World Champion and a Generational Talent but he is also just a normal teenager as many of us were at one point in our lives. Lets not judge and we can root for his continued success and development.
