And it is interesting that Goucher referred to Chris Robbie, who had been a sophomore walk-on, as the Michael Jordan of the team for how hard he pushed them and made them the best they could be. Robbie was not a top runner on that team but it sounds like he made huge contributions to their success.

I just read the article and it was actually the opposite. Robbie referred to Goucher as the Michael Jordan of the team.

Hey Jude, don't make it bad. Take a sad song and make it better. Remember to let her into your heart, Then you can start to make it better. Hey Jude, don't be afraid. You were made to go out and get her. The minute you let her under your skin, Then you begin to make it better. And anytime you feel the pain, hey Jude, refrain, Don't carry the world upon your shoulders. For well you know that it's a fool who plays it cool By making his world a little colder. Hey Jude, don't let me down. You have found her, now go and get her. Remember to let her into your heart, Then you can start to make it better. So let it out and let it in, hey Jude, begin, You're waiting for someone to perform with. And don't you know that it's just you, hey Jude, you'll do, The movement you need is on your shoulder. Hey Jude, don't make it bad. Take a sad song and make it better. Remember to let her under your skin, Then you'll begin to make it Better better better better better better, oh. Da da da da da da, da da da, hey Jude
Northfield ran 9:56 at NIN with 3:00,51,1:58,4:04 with the 3:00 guy running the 800 earlier in the day. Niwot should be able to go 5-10 seconds faster than that. I think National Record watch!
Quinn may be able to go 4:05 or faster again in the 1600 (not full mile) and Rocco still 1:51 low off. If the first two legs can hand off in 3:49 it’s in reach
I misjudged their 400 guy. i thought he was a 50.x not 48.5. then he picks up s second on that. other 3 splits were what i was expecting. great run. i believe that is right around top 5 all-time from what ai told me yesterday
I can see the Niwot Boys 2025- being the FM girls from 2006-2017. The program is so deep, the top end are all top 100 in the country. The coaching is top tier, the program breeds excellence. Having a ritz core will do miracles the next 4 years.
This is a NY’er saying this too. I’ve seen real dynasty’s. I’ve also seen the second and third and 5,6,7 team all come from the same state. I’m old, the mid 2000’s NY girls teams were deep and top heavy. People love to sh1t on NY now but there was a time when you literally had no shot against our 4th or 5th best team.
The SW region is essentially doing what NY did in the mid 2000’s. Niwot will be FM, and Herriman/AF will be Saratoga. I can see a decade long reign of SW teams dominating before a new region takes over.
