Improving by 10 seconds in a month over 800m is absurd no matter how talented the runner is.
Absurd, but believable.
He ran 1:48 in 11th grade. He ran 4:08 in 10th grade. He won NXN in 12th grade.
It would be suspect if he had come out of nowhere and never run fast before, but even though he was overshadowed by his teammates in hs, he had great performances.
Im curious what kind of injury he’s had, I don’t think I’ve seen it reported.

This may be the most absurd result I've ever seen, looking at his athletic.net, earlier this year in January and February he ran 4:31 for the mile a 1:57 in the 800, he improved by 9 whole seconds in the 800 in the span of a couple months. On Feb 20 he ran 1:58.
In fact I kind of doubt this is real, maybe switched bibs with someone.
If you look at Lil S's history you'll find out he sometimes performs like a lightning bolt out of a blue sky. Two examples:8:01 indoor 3k as a 16 year old and NXN cross country champion after never having won a high school cross country meet.
He has lots of talent and he may have finally got over the woes that affected the last few years.
Yup, he’s always done this. Most of the time he’s just fast but sometimes he’s more than that. He is a gifted runner.

Sure less so, but if you look at his past 3 years of results, this is completely out of the blue.
Brazier ran 1:44 in his first race in about 3 years. That was 10x more absurd. . . but also believable.
🤡
Brazier had ‘special supplements’ and anyone with common sense knows it, because three years of nothing then 5 months training doesn’t give us what was shown at Nationals. Not from anyone clean. But it was “…good for the sport and a great way to get his confidence back.” Sure.
While he ran 1:57 indoors, he had still run 51 for 400. Part of me thinks he runs poorly at altitude or paced the 1:57 very aggressively. A 3;55 1500 shows his endurance still isn't quite matched to his 800, but is much better than a 4:31 mile.

Altitude actually helps 800m runners, albeit most of them not much. This has been known since the ‘68 Olympics in Mexico City.
I hear Aaron was injured, but I gotta wonder how much of this was in his own mind. It's tough coming back from a long layoff and running sucks. Learning to deal with the discomfort again and at the very beginning of college where he went from NXN champ to just another player in the game. It's a decision to dive back into it and it seems he has done that. Congrats to him and looking forward to updates on him and everything Newbury Park.

Katy Zang went from not even being able to qualify for NXN to breaking Mary Cain's legendary 2 mile record in just a few months. If Katy Zang can do it, so can Aaron Sahlman.

Despite the down votes, you are right that it was what some might term ‘suspicious’.
