Who? Marco or McFarland? I think UM will be in this for sure and McFarland is very good. When Villanova ran their 9:16.x Marco ran 3:50.75, and it was the easiest 3:50.75 I have seen in a while , seriously. Marco is not running the DMR, as far as I know its 5K and 3K. Masau is not in this meet, not sure why people or person would not know that by now.
he's built himself up in his head like he's the biggest alpha dog second coming of Prefontaine if he looses it wouldn't surprise me if he punches the winner.
What kind of mindset would you want to carry through training coming into the national championships??

You're genuinely concerned, what a crock of shi-t. Just another hater. He knows what I think, because I know he reads this stuff. I am a huge fan of the running and the talent, and think the other stuff is too much and a bad look, and the Sands thing was bad, but he is really gifted, much better than I ever thought he would be and that's not a slam at all. I never saw this from 1500 thru 5K , he's really f'ing good..hows that LOL LOL.
Prediction: Marco wins the 3k but only when Simeon is DQed for an elite stare down after outkicking Marco in the last 50. Will feel like a loss to all contenders
As I was watching it, I was intellecually thinking. "He shouldnt win this race. I mean Samuel is basically probably better than Grant Fisher right now. Would I expect Langon to beat that?"

And you state that based upon what?
Samuel's 8:11/9th place finish @ Millrose 2-mile?
Which Grant had to DNS due to pneumonia, a race he prepared for by breaking Bekele's former WR in the 2000 a week prior.
Also, if you are going the claim you think "intellecually," might bolster your assertion if you learn to spell the word correctly.

I kind of have to agree with this. Fisher is a lot better still than Samuel at every distance possible,

Agreed. Samuel isn't better than Fisher.
I also disagree with rojo saying Langon gave an epic effort. I think Langon ran too passively in the middle portion of the race. He was in 8th at 3k, and he didn't show any urgency until it was too late.
Credit to Samuel for demonstrating the killer mentality that Langon talks about having. When the pace was lagging at 1k, Samuel was the one who took the lead and injected pace to make sure the race was honest. From there, Samuel kept himself in striking position, then took absolute control of the race between 3400 and 3600 by dropping the pace from 32s to 31-30.
Langon had an impressive close, and finishing 2nd to Samuel is nothing to be ashamed of, but Samuel was the baller and deserving champion today.
