Running on the wrong side of the road. Multiple cars hindered in traffic. Then one guy in a truck yells something at them in their last rep. Clearly the locals were not impressed with this workout.
Grant is from Canada, they drive on the other side of the road there so he's probably not used to these Amerikkkan roads.
Yeah when these vids come out I just scroll to see what the workout was
I’m incredibly glad I’m not a pro runner like Fisher. Some life. Run, fart into your couch, run, fart into your couch. That’s your entire life. That’s it. You run until one day you can’t. And then what? Some life.
Whereas me, I’ve done actual things. Real things. I’ve made art. I’ve made movies. I’ve made love. I’ve traveled everywhere and have had every kind of woman. I’ve lived a real life. I’ve actually made something of myself and can confidently call myself a man
Jealously will get you no where.
Grant is an over achiever in every aspect of life yet remains humble and good natured.
How can you be so angry about an incredibly talented runner having a video of him doing a workout?

I’m not jealous at all just speaking to the fact that there is SO much more to running in this life. How could I be jealous when I’m the one who has been with the absolute best. Think of the best piece of @ss you’ve ever had—I’ve had better and tons more. TONS. Do you know what kind of man you have to be to live that life? I can’t even begin to explain

In 2024, he was doing an (online?) masters in CS at Stanford. Is that doing something useful?

VERY useful and I do apologize for the tone and content of my previous post. I think Grant is an outstanding runner and person. I was just feeling a little hangry tbh. I love my life ngl but I love Grant too and am so proud of what he has done. Tbh I couldn’t hack it as a runner as I got too nervous before races

I’m a tad bipolar I afraid. Happens to the best of us—and me (lol)
It was actually Management Science & Engineering, unless it changed between 2022 and 2024. There was a computational component but it was not a CS masters' (and also not an undergrad degree as in that tweet)
That poor guy. My kid graduated Georgetown, $0 debt (full athletic), had interned with a top 5 law firm as a freshman, joined them full time as graduate $225k base.
Run, fart into your couch, repeat, honestly sounds like the life to me. I'd rather double every day and rot in between runs than work a 9-5. And I'm sure Grant does plenty of other things in his life than sit around between runs XD

There are no more "locals" in Utah. That ship sailed during Covid. More often than not, people in the Park City/Heber area are yelling encouragement to runners, cyclists, or roller skiers. The area is quite used to sharing the roads with Olympic medalists.
Yes, and even the wind is supposed to die down Sunday morning.
I'm pretty excited to watch this, assuming it'll be broadcast somewhere. Mostly because I think it'll be fascinating to see if/when Fisher takes control of the race. Put him on the track and he's got to be one of the most confident runners out there since he knows exactly what his abilities are. Racing for an hour? He might want to defer to others and be much less aggressive. Super interesting from a strategy standpoint.
