You're an idiot. Racism has nothing at all to do with incorrect pacing. Runners of all colors run dumb first 200s.
Your racism shows. You cannot hide it. Werro had every right to go out too fast. She might have been trying an experiment. The intelligent are willing to learn. Are you?
This is an incredible result for this time of year for Hodgkinson. It does suggest that she can run 1:53 high at least outdoors. Maybe the Meurten's was just late to arrive on the distaff side. What is particularly impressive, besides holding it together after a 200 like that, is that she ran 29s for each of the last three 200s, which almost never happens on the women's side. Whether that's due to the gels or to improved aerobic strength, it is impressive. You'd have to think that just going out in 28 would give her another second overall.
Splits 26.8/29.21/29.05/29.81. That first 200 is pretty wild.
Keely only ran a very fast first 200 because she had to get in front of Werro. Not sure what Werro was thinking. She knew that Keely was in much better shape than her and that Keely was going for the world record. Werro knew she couldn't stay with Keely but she just felt like messing with Keely. That was uncalled for.
She was thinking she was in a race. She's entitled to compete however she sees fit
Femke ran an unimpressive 1:59 debut for a mid to low 48 type 400m runner, so it wasn't reason to celebrate, but then it turned out that she had been nursing a foot injury and worsened it, so we can give her a mulligan on that and hope she'll be able to stand the 800m training and give a healthy effort outdoors. I wonder if the 800 distance will get a quick hook if there's another injury setback for her.

No, not a full second. Running the first 200 a little slower would have only made her final time a few tenths of a second faster.
Impressive given her outdoor PR of 1:54.61. You have to imagine she's gearing up for shot at the outdoor WR, but man... 1:53.28 feels like an eternity away. Its just so damn fast.
If she shows low 50point speed (or even high 49s?!) at world indoors I think she'll get it though.
Jarmila KRATOCHVÍLOVÁ participated in the Czech "Specialized Care" program. Just look at her from 1983. She was more buff than Pete Hegseth! Can't see how that world record of 1:53 is legit.
I think outdoors opening 400m of 52/53 with 600m split 1:23/1:24 will get her 1:51/1:52 WR.
26/27/28/29 WR!
Keely isn't capable of running an opening 52 without completely falling apart. But thanks for letting us know that you're clueless about how to run an 800.
