Wasn't St Pierre just too sick to run Millrose? Now just misses the AR? I guess she didn't lose much fitness or sharpness while being out with illness. And just had a kid not too long ago.
She's so good despite all of the setbacks. It's like... unbelievable! I've never seen someone be so good and so off and on at the same time!
Impressive, but not surprising ... Chamberlain ran 4:02 1500 last summer. She's got the speed over Hedengren.
Hopefully all these losses aren't eating away too bad on Hedengren. She's still running great times and getting beat by great people.
She is having the greatest freshman season in ncaa history… she trains with Chamberlain 24/7. She would be very content and aware of who can win on what day.

I have been saying that for over a year, that the 10,000 will be her best track event. I'm sure Jane could run sub 30:45 right now on the outdoor track and sub 30:30 later this season easily!
I might be the minority, but happy to currently have a BYU college aged runner hold the NCAA mile record than a UO professional mid-20 age runner in Wilma or Silan
If you’re insinuating doping, I think you need to check yourself and do a little self education. Many of the kids on the byu campus take their religion as seriously as many of us did in college chasing skirts and parties. They don’t stay out late, and many don’t even drink coffee or soda. They train at altitude amongst pros and with coaches that are a proven commodity. If you think any of these kids are using drugs, you need a good reality check.
Chamberlain 4:20.61 (second behind Elle St Pierre), followed by Wilma Nielsen (Oregon) 4:21.06, then Jane Hedengren 4:22.22
Nice kick. It was gutsy from Nielsen but it was hard to see her holding onto such a hot pace. Record is probably on borrowed time, though. If Jane stays in NCAA, it feels like sub-4:20 is in the cards.
Why wouldn’t she stay in the NCAA? She hasn’t won anything yet. 14:44 is 46 seconds slower than the world record. She has a great set up now. Why waste her current opportunity?
