This^ and Pre received featured attention on the covers of Sports Illustrated and Track & Field News.
Pre also made many unique statements about his running that helped define him and became memorable quotes.
("Somebody may beat me, but they are going to have to bleed to do it."
"To give anything less than your best is to sacrifice the gift.")
Marco Langdon is an excellent runner, and he still might win some big races, set some records, and receive some featured attention.
But Langdon hasn't done any of those, and it seems as though the most attention he has received so far is because of his foul mouth interviews after not winning big races. Perhaps his statements help define him, but his statements are not very quotable because of how he makes them.
