So I’ve tried basically every bicarb product that’s readily available in North America besides bicarb 2.0. Maurten no need to buy anymore triple the price of any competitor, but flavour isn’t bad and no real stomach trouble. Blanks middle range price wise but I think really worth it, very customizable and easiest to eat. The blanks nutrition comes with a bulk bag of bicarb pellets and a bulk bag of bicarb hydrogel. FlyCarb is one of the least expensive options out there. Honestly pretty terrible tasting and they use a powder bicarb form but I find it’s the most reliable. This is what I race with, they are starting to come out with other flavours but I couldn’t imagine it masking the saltiness. Any bicarb I’ve tried I have noticed a difference in the way I feel towards the end of a race. I’ve used it in events from 800m - XC. As for nomio I have experimented with it and I find it does help my legs feel lighter and recover better after a session or race. I wouldn’t say nomio is as good as bicarb performance wise and it definitely doesn’t buffer lactate as well as bicarb.
