Izzi, Leanne and Lisa W are all running the Boston marathon.
Izzi will do well here just racing and not time trialling, and Leanne will monster the hills. On PBs Izzi and Leanne are ranked 21 and 28 in the field. But I think both are a strong top 10 chance.
Can anyone confirm if McSweyn has left Bideau and who he is now being coached by? Rayner moved to a different management company but is still training with MTC in falls creek and there is still a connection. It's likely the new company he's working for is not race entries and athletics management and could be a different avenue he wants to be supported in
Seems kind of crazy that Andy is signing up for Boston when he cooked himself building up too quickly for Valencia off the back of a stressy. Surely he would be better served building slowly and looking for a mid-year marathon.
Feels like he's setting himself up for another year of stressy's.

Surely a payday decision? Which I understand as they need to make a living, keep sponsors happy etc.
He seems a couple of weeks behind Brady (IRP) in the return-from-stressy Paddy Stow program. And Brady knows he's going to come into Boston fit enough to run ok but not in PB shape. Still, Andy is a pro, and great on hills, so maybe he can sneak a high placing.
A sensible Boston build would set him up for a crack at Sydney if he wants to. A fit Andy on that course would have to be favourite to win the Aussie-only $30k.

If the good version of Haftu turns up then Andy can't have a bad day if he wants to be first Australian in Sydney.
Would be curious how much Boston are paying him. I assume with contract bonuses maybe for running in a major it has to be more than winning Ballarat (where he could bag $9,500)? I would have thought Ballarat as a tempo plus some halves or other road races seems like the better option to turn up in Sydney fully fit, from an injury risk but also financial perspective.
Brett Robinson confirmed on the pod that he's still with MTC/Nic but just opted out of Falls this year as he doesn't want to push too hard trying to chase guys who are fitter than him. Makes sense. I guess all eyes are now on Stewy to see if he's sticking to MTC or trying something new. I'd love to Stewy flourishing in a new environment.

Mottram is not a good coach, OAC Australia pretty much follow the MTC structure with a few tweaked sessions here or there, he’d have no training partners at OAC that are superior to MTC and Mottram group are focused on track with no transition plan for Stewy if he wants to move up distances by 2028
Would love to see him under Telford in Canberra with Myers and his agent or just moving to somewhere in the states and train with Mike Smith or Grant Fisher and his coach
Sam tanner joining as well, there’s th training partner
I can't see Tanner leaving Kirkwood or his setup in NZ. From what Beamish has said on the coffee club podcast, it sounds like Tanner is very settled where he is at. Not to mention he's got a young child now.
'Rayner & Robinson are still at MTC and are based in Melbourne. I believe Brett is now uncontracted. Ramsden is also a member of MTC, but he lives in Perth so doesn't train with the crew. Stewy recently has moved on. Grego lives in Brisbane and is close to moving on from running now I believe. Andy is and always has been coached by Scott Wescott. Pat Tiernan is based in the U.S. as part of the Puma group. Dave McNeill retired recently but still runs. I'm a fan of these guys too. While MTC deservedly cops a lot of flack, these guys started from the bottom of the food chain and have achieved some unbelieveable results. For example, Stewy (and NB) but at 18 Stewy's best PB was 14.57 in the 5k. By 26, he was close to getting a medal at the Olympics. It's an unbelievable rise, and Stewy and NB deserve praise for that. Cheers'
Will be interesting to see if Bisset can get back to the top, even when she's not injured the 800m for womens is pretty strong these days. Not sure this is quite true "I didn’t qualify for the Tokyo Athletics Championships this year because of injury", but lets see.
Currently 4th all time Aussie (July 2023) behind Jess Hull, Hollingsworth and Caldwell who all ran PBs last year
