I dont have a tattoo and have never considered getting one. But I cannot imagine being so irrationally judgemental about other people getting them. Some of you dweebs sound more uptight than my 93 year old grandma.
Huh. Well, that means he won't get into heaven (Leviticus 19:28).
No loss, though: "Heaven" doesn't actually exist, so why not enjoy your life?
Enjoying your life is "Heaven".
Some people struggle with "who they are", and end up in a tailspin trying to justify it. Climbing and hiking mountains for days on end, meditation, and prayer are just a few ways of seeking spiritual fulfillment. If Ryan is truly trying to find himself and purpose of existence this should be a private and personal journey, not a bunch of instagram and Strava posts of him running around in the wild with no shirt on showing off his cryptic arm sleeve tattoo.
As the great song from the rock band U2 says, "I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking for" pretty much sums up Ryan's life at this point.
The funny thing is that's about when I think most people who want a tattoo should wait to get one. You actually have some life experiences that would prevent you from getting something trite like your average 20 year old. I have no interest in getting one myself. But if I did, it wouldn't be something I'd regret a couple years from now.

Good Luck!
Has Ryan ever said anything about trying to find himself and purpose of existence? I don’t recall him ever mentioning that.
This and the body makeover all seem like some kind of midlife crisis. He probably struggled with dedicating so much of his life to running and is overcompensating for lost time.

You are referencing the Old covenant which was fulfilled by Jesus on the cross, so we no longer live by that law. Also, sinning (if someone does believe a tattoo is sin) doesn't condemn someone to hell as we all sin and no one besides Jesus will ever be perfect. Sinning without repentance is what condemns us to hell. "If you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord you will be saved".
I am roughly Ryan's age. I was a competitive track athlete during the same time frame. Ryan was obviously amongst the best. The group of college athletes that went pro. The Tier 1 guys. I was amongst the Tier 2 the group running in the just missing the mark 10,000m 28:30-29:10. Ryan was use to having people know him and have this less superior attitude toward him at races. The problem off the track he is less impressive and superior than the average person. He is not rich, he is not successful other than running. The muscles, now tattoo's, all of his pictures of him lifting weights and shadow boxing shows a very narcissistic observation of who he really is. I have tattoos and am sleeved but did not do it for appearance I did it because one of these days when I am 90 years old and don't know my own name just maybe I will be able to look at my arms see my military stuff and remember something about who I was at a particular time in my life. Easily put my Arms have places I have been, units I served with, and other things about that time. Hall is doing his to portray something he is not. He is doing it for image you don't sleeve up for the reason Hall.is doing it. There is 100% something going on with him that should be treated.

"I was worse than Ryan, there is something wrong with him, I am going to go senile"
So that's Cotopaxi and a Condor. It looks like he just led a trail running retreat down there. I'm not a running retreat kind of guy but the description did sound kind of fun. In any case, that area must really connect with Ryan.
