He just got caught but is unlikely to be that different from other medal threats. I’d at best assign a modestly increased probability of more aggressive doping compared to his peers conditioned on the fact of his getting caught.
Katir's progression drew lots of suspicion before he was caught. And note that he not only got caught but also tampered with evidence.
The Moroccan are coming to you after dealing with the soccer. Skah is preparing silently the next gen at 1600m altitude of high atlas.
Whine while you can, that's the only thing you know.
A lot of people wonder why I hate the West so much. All the arguments are there to support this view. And it's even more relevant when you've lived in Africa and seen the differences. I lost respect for the West a very, very long time ago.

This stage has allowed me to understand in depth what it means to be an elite athlete. It's not just about training and competing, but about managing every detail with rigor, surrounding yourself with a competent team, and having a personal environment that provides stability and balance. I am grateful to those who have been part of my successes and, especially, to those who continue by my side in this growth process. My commitment remains unwavering: I train every day with discipline, motivation, and absolute conviction in my abilities. I am ready to compete again at the highest level. My goal is clear: Los Angeles 2028. I aspire to return with a more mature and professional mindset and to be able to share new achievements with all of you. I ask for your trust and support during this stage that marks the path to my return. Katir cinemaapkapp.com.br.
Call me naive, but what does Asics have to gain with keeping him under contract? Couldn’t they sever it from his suspension?
I’ve always been curious how he has the funds to continue to train during this stretch and with what forms of income.
How much does it cost to train in a dimly lit, unfinished garage in Spain? Doping is as popular as it is in part because successful dopers get to keep their titles, their records and their riches.

Indeed. See also Houlihan. And quite often the doper keeps their income from their sponsor, sometimes officially, sometimes unofficially. Coleman seems to have stayed officially with Nike the whole time.
Sometimes they get officially canceled, and then re-hired. See Gatlin. Gay got canceled by Asics and never re-hired despite his return. So, that comes in all flavors, depending on the sponsor, athlete, and offense etc.
Katir is currently not officially on the Asics roster.
Here is a letsrun article about "Will she get a shoe contract?"
LetsRun.com spoke with executives in the sports marketing departments at three shoe brands, who were granted anonymity in order to speak freely. One said he would be interested in signing Houlihan, but didn’t think his company would do it. The other two said they were not interested. All acknowledged that signing Houlihan would create more brand awareness — she remains a big name in the sport and her return in 2025 will generate attention, particularly if she runs well. But the two who were not interested in Houlihan said the negative attention associated with Houlihan’s doping suspension would not be worth it to them.

I really wish companies would drop dopers, even if it’s all lip service it would at least be something and make the sport look less like a blind eye is turned to that carry on.

How about the governing bodies suing or fining companies that keep supporting dopers?

+1, but that remains wishful thinking.
Same goes for the coaches who don't always drop their dopers. And then there is USATF, hiring dopers as national coaches, who then get Coach of the Year awards from shoe companies. Sadly the support for dopers remains high in this sport.
An American looser, what he has in his pocket outside of pressing "downvote" on a button.
If you were greats I will be the first to admit like I admit that the East African are the best.
The North African are physically stronger than you, because eroded during millennia arount a hard and harsh environment.
Above you wrote: "A lot of people wonder why I hate the West so much." Maybe you should try fixing your hatred if it extends to Westerners and not merely ideologies.
I admired Katir, but I did think his progression was suspicious. Our suspicions have been confirmed about him. Plus he reportedly tampered with evidence. I think most people here want PED-free running, whereas you would rather whine about imaginary prejudice.
