I thought that "age comparison" was the trojan horse of Myers/Jakob/Laros fanboys.
Return to most posts of "Hobby Jogger" ... they are all age comparison posts.
He has a famous post saying that Jacob run 3:26 two weeks before El G.
(but he forgot who was the first and created the trend, that year he run 2:26 two times all better than Jakob time).
I'm answering the protagonists with their own arms.
Yeah it is. But those guys are like 17-18 years old and this is all that is the scope of their running knowledge.
"Athlete X run faster time than Athlete Y at same age therefore must mean..." - small child logic.
So don't worry about it. You think Cole Hocker gives two sheiets that he was "only" a 4.36 miler when he was 14 and didn't break 4 until he was 18? Age group performances are by large completely meaningless except for suggesting talent and the bandwidth for that is quite large.
