I disagree. 209:59 is almost like 214 back in the day.
Chelimo is a two-time Olympic medalist. He just got 8th at us Xc and you are acting like he’s the equivalent of Mick Iacofano (who ran 2:09:55 on this course in 2020).
Is there any truth to the short course in 2020 or was it really just pent up fitness and a perfect day? Guys ran times there that they have never come close to touching again.
Just perfect conditions and a full time trial environment. I can see why it made people look at is as sus, it led a lot of people to believe they were better than they actually are outside of that sort of environment.

There were a couple of guys that had career days, but many guys ran faster before and since. I think it was 2020 winner Martin Hehir’s last hurrah before he moved on with his medical career.
Kinda of surprised to see Tyler Day go out with the 2:08 group, is he in that shape? I was under the impression that he's basically been permanently injured the last few years
This male pacer in the women’s race looks like me in Chicago back in the day. He’s in a lot of trouble.
Did they miss the halfway split for the men? I turned it on a 64:13 and they went through halfway in 64:02. I’ve always felt it should be a rule to show the halfway point of all marathons. So they wanted 64 flat and got 64:02. Dead on pace.
Room for improvement here - 90 min YouTube Live tease for the first almost hr of the race and suddenly I’m watching a Linkletter video thinking it’s a short storytelling break only to find out no more YouTube live. I would have liked a heads up “for YouTube live users, to watch the rest of the race head on over to flotrack” or some such.
