Stella is already in Paris, ready to run but cannot until Camille officially withdraws via USATF. Camille posted yesterday that her injured wristed in healing fine, and showed a video of her running sprints.
Well, than they should withdraw Camille themselves. If she is not there, she will not be on the start line.
Camille will use that spot, to "show" everyone and that should not happen.
It is a USATF rule that the organization cannot remove a 24hr Running Team member. The runner must cede their place officially. The time cut off has now passed and the USA team will only have 5 runners competing.

Camille has failed to officially notify USATF that she has withdrawn (despite having been contacted by several people). That means the team will only field 5 female competitors, despite there being 2 alternates ready to race. This appears to be a deliberate move by Camille.
Correcting my previous post - there is 1 female alternate in Paris ready to race (Stella Springer), and 1 male alternate.

This is the ultrarunning equivalent of making a Facebook status vaguely alluding to some major issue and then refusing to elaborate. You know, like I did when I was 12.
Her behavior just baffling to me. If she was busted for drugs, I would at least understand it. She was trying to improve her running ability (albeit in an illegal manner). But she has thrown her career in the toilet by acting like a child.
Editing people's Wikipedia accounts to try to discredit them? She's acting like a junior high girl who is jealous that the boy she likes is giving too much attention to another girl and so she starts spreading false rumors in school to hurt the girl's reputation.
And now she is going to deny someone (who is already in Paris) the opportunity to run because she won't send an email to withdraw? She's like the kid who owns the only baseball saying, "I'm taking my ball and going home" so that nobody else can play because things aren't going his way.
Instead of trying to square away her life and improve her reputation, she is doubling down on her immature hurtful actions and going deeper into the toilet.

I don't understand this. If this is not a championship rule but rather an USATF rule, it is a rule that USATF can change. Let Camille sue them for kicking her out of the team despite that rule at the last minute when she has failed to even confirm that she was in Paris and have posted on social networks from the US and see if a judge agrees she must be compensated.

I got a chuckle out of your post. It was 1984 when I was 12, I most definitely do not know what it would be like to post on Facebook at 12 (or ever). It just sounds like irresponsibility to me.
The sad thing is her “fans” will still platform her and turn a blind eye and cry foul. Fortunately most people can see it for what it is and she won’t be welcome at future events. This has to be one of the most pathetic stories over the years of self sabotage. Imagine carving out a decent living in a niche sport and just continuously piss it away based off your and your husbands actions. Just sad!

I agree - per one of the senior team organizers in Paris "We have done our best here but it seems not to be enough. We are making last-ditch phone calls now."
