Ran like a granny!
Good to see Julius Yego back to throwing competitively.
Presume there are burrito vans in Japan too?
Very disappointing to see dopers continuing whilst pretending they were innocent.
Shelby would be the WR holder and Olympic champion if she hadnt been unfairly banned by a corrupt WADA.
Only 4 white guys out of 12 javelin finalists - interesting!
Houlihan's diet is still clearly made up of Burritos.

Van es? Van Yes!
Interested to see how Innes Fitzgerald does, could be a future medal contender, maybe by LA.
Cranny is cooked. Not like she has a future on the roads either right
Why is Innes Fitzgerald there? I thought she was supposed to be the Greta Thunburg of athletics? Did she travel to Japan on a boat?
A great prospect, I wish her well, but she seems to have gone very quiet on all the eco-warrior stuff.
Japan came to play in the 5k!
The women have more balls when it comes to track racing, less scared to push the pace.
Heat 2 l. Japanese runner probably 50 meters ahead early. Check that. The gap is 45 meters at 2200 meters.
Rouhglyb 7:24 at halfway for Hironaka. Pack is 7 seconds back.

There's also a greater spread of talent among women, so it's a more effective strategy.
It not about men or women, it's about whether there are any Japanese runners.

Hope she qualifies. She's earned it.
The Japanese really need to rethink their suicidal running culture even tho it's very inspiring to watch
