I say ditch the hat. It's already hot and humid enough. You need to let the head cool down right air blow over at the crown.

I saw some people handing bottles to runners when they passed the part with all the booths by country. I thought the rule was the runner has to grab the bottle on their own.
Fisher off the back already?
CJ and Clayton should have a nice battle for top American here. I could see CJ pulling it off, though Clayton talks a lot about how he likes the hot and humid races - he's getting his wish today
Well I’m probably late to the party realizing Conor Mantz isn’t in this…

They've all got ice under there!
The women set the expectations so high, it feels disappointing seeing Clayton so far back.
CJ and Clayton. Whose the third American?
Reed Fisher
Clayton is running a smarter race. He’ll have something left at the end .
Oh man, they all look SO HOT.
Reed Fischer 3rd American
A lot of these guys in the front now are going to drop way back by the 2nd half. I think CJ and Clayton are doing the right thing. The Africans aren't going to start running a harder pace until at least 15 miles.

Hot and sweaty ...
Clayton looks relaxed. Only 30k to go!

I wonder why Clayton tossed his hat so early..
Looks like he's got a new hat.
I hardly recognize 1/10th of the 50 front runners. Why not Clayton Young on the podium??
Does anyone know what the black band on Young’s arm is? Don’t think it’s HR, that appears to be on the other arm.
Clayton Young’s best race was probably Orlando at the trials on a hot day where he could have beaten Mantz but chose not to. Wouldn’t be the biggest surprise to me if surprised out there today. But there are like 40 dudes in that pack right now, so probably like 5%-10% odds of a medal. But it’s not nothing!
Watching like 10 guys fiddle with their ice packs under their hats was funny.
Why do the Japanese spectators keep chanting "Toga! Toga!"?
