I am in new york city. will be at stadia to watch novak djokovic. I think taylor fritz win. hope game is good match. last time novak djokovic play at united states open before retires??
The oldest ever to reach the quarterfinals in all the grand slam events in the same year. Also probably the only unvaxxed over-30 year old on the pro tour currently. Coincidence?
This is so tired. He is not even anti vaccines for the population or activist or even particularly vocal about it, just someone who wants the freedom to choose for himself. He probably cringes at being the hero of vaccine nutjobs. Attributing his tennis outstandingness to his no-covid-vax-ness is not parsimonious a theory.
novak djokovic make quarter finals at united states open this year. he 38 years old and playing very high level tennis at his age. I think Fritz beat him. but novak is legend. carlos alcaraz win tournament when tournament is over. he is great player today.
Fun match watching Novak stroll into yet another GS semi! Never gets tiring watching the old man take it to the kids!
Remember when Australia locked Novak Djokovic in a detention centre with illegal immigrants because he didn't take an experimental vaccine that has resulted in the deaths of 10s of thousands of people.
Yes I remember. They forced children into taking it as well. There were images of children being taken away from their families.
I was at game match last night. novak djokovic play great game. taylor fritz no contested. taylor fritz fans very upset and loud. novak djokovic make semi finals in all major tournaments this year. very amazing player. greatest ever.

Alcaraz will clobber him. He’s a semis guy at best now. Moves like the tin man compared to even a few years ago.
A semis guy is bad? At best? Didn't he make the semis of every major this year?
Yes, it’s bad. Didn’t you know that he should be able to win every single event he ever enters, despite that never being his history, even at the ripe ole age of 45? And if he doesn’t, well, then he must be sick. Pure comedy from letsrun’s *pristine* analysts that, ironically, undermines their credibility on pretty much everything.

People who stand up against the establishment get smeared big time.
It isn't publicised but tennis has serious doping issues. The Minister for Sport in Spain said his country has a serious doping problem - tennis players are big in Spain - and the former head of WADA, Richard Pound, said the sport obviously has a doping problem as today's players make those of the past look like "little old men". A player nearing forty who is keeping pace with the best in the sport today who are years younger than he is must be suspect.

38 you can still be near your best. Physically. I would think the hardest part is mental. Who wants to continue to train like you must to stay on top when you are 38 and have been doing it for decades

Well, and as you’ve implicated Alcaraz here yourself, Sinner is a proven doper but will likely go on to win the tournament like so many others.
At least you admit an almost 40-year old is keeping pace with the best players in the world, which proves some other points as well.

In a sport where they are now pushed to their physical limits there's no way a 38 year old should have the same physical capacity as the best who are 10 and 15 years younger. The margins are fine at the top and physical edge is part of it. Only doping enables an athlete nearing middle age to match the best young athletes at their peak.

He's keeping pace because he is quite likely doping.
Sinner isn't a proven doper - WADA said so, that there was no indication of an intention to dope or that he even benefitted, but that he was responsible for carelessness by his team that caused his contamination with a banned substance. He accepted that.

Thank God you are not a coach.
Actually, I do coach - tennis. But I also recognise that at the professional level coaches are part of the problem, since they help their charges to dope.

Doesn’t matter, he was busted for having a banned substance in his system and then pursued the Lance Armstrong defense. And as you have implicated Alcaraz yourself, even though there is zero proof, I have a bridge to sell you if you think they aren’t ALL taking whatever will give them an edge.
But the important thing is that it’s pretty clear Djokovic doesn’t have long Covid and never did. Perhaps ask Taylor Fritz if he thinks Djokovic is “suffering.”
