Ahhh Hoey! Tremendous run but leaves just a bit of space inside—Attaoui closes like a freight train. Good to see Hoppel back to his normal.
Hoey shouldn't let anyone sneak by him on the inside. Nice bounce-back for Hoppel.

Max Burgin 1:43.6 4th Coevett goes home elated!
Total rookie move by Hoey, running way on the outside of lane one and basically letting Attaoui through like a pacer would.
huge tactical mistake by Hoey! what is he doing drifting out to the edge of lane 1 like that?
Impressed with Attaoui's speed and form at the end

Just stupid having that many in the men's 800m.
Did you even watch the race?
It isn't a problem at all with a fast pace that strings out the field. This isn't a USATF jogfest 1500, it's a paced Diamond League 800.
Also, a big field is the only way Hoppel gets in after coming DFL last time out.
You clearly have no idea how getting into diamond leagues works then lol. Sure dont let the 4th place olympian 1:41 american record holder in because he ran a poor last race due to a stomach issue. lmao
I hope the Americans are pacing themselves; they are way in the back and already fell off the pace.

Behind two Americans without Brazier or Koch there. Love to see it.

2 Rinaldi athlethes sub 1:44.
Hoey and English.
Good work.
Great times considering the field was oversized.

He has a point. It was a little too big to be optimal.

Yeah, and I'm pretty sure Hoppel was entered into the Paris field more than 5 days ago, which is when he had that subpar race.

He wasn't winning anyway. Spaniard had more gas.
Wow Napoleon 9:10.7. She has improved dramatically this year.
Great running by Cherutich to win the steeple in 8:53
