So the one thing about the new Spokane course that would have me concerned with regards to potentially hosting a big invite, NXR or the state meet is potential parking.
It looks like it's going to be a pretty small parking lot, mostly designed to have busses drop athletes off then park elsewhere. The space for the parking lot, including the bus turn-around section, looks to be about 150' by 500', which isn't a whole lot.
There isn't any additional room for additional parking in the area already purchased for the course, so it's not like people can just park in the grass like they did at Eagle Island after all the parking lot was filled.
I see that additional parking is planned as part of "Phase 2" of the project, but that's not going to start until they have more funding and won't be in place for the first year (or more). I'm guessing that will include purchasing some of the land to the west of the course that's currently owned by the Animal Shelter and a concrete company.
