They've been saying for 30 years iran is months away from having a nuclear bomb. There's no proof Iran is using nuclear technology for military purposes. Under the Obama Iran deal, the IAEA never had a issue inspecting Iran nuclear sites and never found proof of them trying to enrich uranium for military purposes. The only country in the middle east which does have nuclear weapons is Israel, which they stole from the United States in the 1960s.

Why on earth would they want to occupy Iran? They want to take out their nuclear enrichment facilities and their ability to launch attacks on Israel. They can accomplish that without an occupation. One of the enrichment sites is essentially uninhabitable now. The other soon will be. Israel has been fairly surgical in their attacks (unlike Iran who launches a barrage of missiles in the hopes they can get one through to hit some apartment building in Tel Aviv). And this is anything but unprovoked. Iran was behind the attacks by Hamas, Hezbollah and the Houthis. They were behind October 7th. Just because they prefer to use their cutouts to attack Israel with cheaper, shorter range weapons does not resolve them of their responsibility in the attacks.
