Speaking of fascinating that's the Eulace Peacock story. The cat owned Owens in the 100 holding a 7-3 edge, even beat him in the long jump he was a 26-3 guy. If not for an injury at the Penn Relays he could have ruined the Jesse Owens at the Berlin Olympics story.

Jim GolIlday is probably the greatest sprinter most have never heard of,. he was a 60 and 100yard world record holder a USA Champion, he was world ranked number one in both 1951 and 1955 but.........injured in both 52 and 56 meaning no Olympics. Which is why he's pretty much a.....who?

Got into track back in the early 60's, I started writing things down on index cards. Everything that happened before my time I researched. I guess hobby would work.
Sprinting hurdles and long jump I pretty much have covered. The football/track connection one of my pet interests also.
