It's 2024 wejo. Are we ever going to have a serious discussion about how the human body really works, or are you going to go along with the dope talk because that's where the money is at?
That's what we're trying to do. Saying it has to be doping is lazy. What she's on a drug that no one else has?
I disagree that accusing Ruth of doping is lazy analysis. As many others have noted, this performance is such a huge jump, even despite her prior accomplishments, that it’s just difficult to believe. And as you guys mention in your article, a lot of Kenyans have been caught doping recently, including an Olympic champion so there is every reason to be skeptical that Ruth is clean. If it was just a few Kenyans it would be one thing, but it’s been tons of them. This means that there is a clear pattern, and to ignore an obvious pattern would be poor analysis. Plus her manager is a known drug enabler. The writing is on the wall in huge red letters.
It was my anniversary yesterday so forgive me for not waking up at 5 in California to watch the whole thing but what is going on ?!?!
Not only did she got her LA 2028 USA mens OTQ...but maybe has a shot as a alt?
Further more from biz stand point why would a shoe company want to sponsor a USA mens 2:10-2:13 dude now?
Any 2:10+ sponsored runner should immediately lose his sponsorship
The following runners are asked to immediate hand over all sponsorship money, sponsored shoes, sponsored clothes…
Yuichi Yasui JPN 02:10:11 11 Reed Fischer USA 02:10:14 12 Brian Shrader USA 02:10:25 13 Dawit Wolde Arega ETH 02:10:53 14 Shadrack Kipchirchir USA 02:11:05 15 Tatsuya Maruyama JPN 02:11:07 16 Alex Maier USA 02:11:24 17 Turner Wiley USA 02:11:55 18 Charlie Sweeney USA 02:12:23 19 JP Flavin USA 02:12:34 20 Tomoki Yoshioka JPN 02:14:04
Anyway, clearly she had something that nobody else had and that nobody in history ever had before.
Shoes? same as hundreds of other people
Training? did she train harder than any other person on the planet?
Talent? Is she the most talented women runner ever?
Drugs? It is not only about a drug that nobody else has. It is also to take more of the same drug as other people or to use a different protocol. Lance Armstrong was the best not because of a different drug. But because it was very professionally organized.
Any other suggestion?
We get faster by being more energy efficient. I'ts really not hard to figure out. In running parlance this is called Running Economy.
So the number of calories burned per minute is a tiny smidgeon higher because the time taken to run the distance is less, but the total calorie cost is less, not more.
Everyone who blathers on about doping thinks the calorie cost is more. And they think they are the intelligent ones.
