Huge tailwind. He even said in pre race interview that it would be fast with the tail. Plus it’s downhill. his 3:45 at Pre is much better

He does this all the time. I think he just does it, or you would see more athletes doing it if it was written in their contracts.

Agreed, his 3:45 at Pre is a better time, but the way he dominated a rather strong field (at least on paper, it is possible that some people were way off their peak) was very impressive. When he changed pace at 800m he gained immediately 4-5 meters on everybody else and from there on he just kept increasing his lead. It looked like he was on a whole different level.
