The debate isn't about who is a better runner at 3K-up. We know the answer to that. The debate is about who's the better 1500/mile runner, and it always has been.

name a race Kerr has won without a pacer - i can tell you it isn't the indoor 3000m where fischer paced him the entire way (not just 2k like today). i can tell you it wasnt the WCs last year where Jakob paced him the whole way. I can you it wasn't the Olympic 1500m where again Jakob paced him. Name one race where Kerr has run from the front and won. Hell he tried to boss Nugus around last year after the WCs and actually did run from the front and got SMOKED by nuguse lol. You logic is utterly stupid.
Being a ‘front runner’ or a ‘rabbit’ does not make you a good runner. Especially if everyone blasts past you in the home straight. In fact it makes you a tactically bad runner if you run out of steam and have misjudged your pace.. Unless of course you can pull it off - see Keely.
Some runners do not front run. They run their own race and pace themselves and work out when they need to go past the leader. Others like to front run. It’s just different ways of racing.

I believe all we need to see is Jakob change the way he races 1500m finals that is about as simple as it gets. He needs to sit back until 800m then move up and push the last 600m that is how he will win. I think Kerr will always be there regardless but hocker proved in those last moments even Kerr is beatable. I don’t think Jakob can do it that way unless Kerr falters but if he pushes from 600m to home I think Kerr won’t have the gear to catch him.

I'm a track "fanboy" and I appreciate all the talent in the mid-distance ranks right now but it's objectively obvious that jakob is the better runner, period. Better at 1500m, better at 3K. Races more. More medals. BETTER.
That Kerr has beaten Jakob 3x is a matter of recent circumstances - what about the 10 times Jakob crushed him before that? Aslo, Kerr won when Jakob was sick, when Jakob was coming back from injury in his first race of the year (not Kerr's first race btw), and then the olympics where Kerr didn't even win (LOL). To add to all that - Kerr is also objectively slower. How can you be better when your PR is a second slower?? keep coping.
