I noticed in some photos he was wearing Nikes around the Olympic village which I thought was weird. Maybe his contract with on is up and he’s shopping around.
Team USA was obligated to wear the Team USA gear around the Olympic village and in interviews; hence, the reason why Nuguse was wearing Nike shoes.
Same with Jess Hull wearing Asics which sponsored Team Australia....Jess is a Nike athlete.
So anyone else notice post Olympics finals race how many interviews, pics Nuguse was either wearing Nike shoes or Nike apparel? Coincidence (Team USA sponsored by Nike) or Nuguse not thinking about it or Nuguse moving to Nike!!! What do you guys think?
Not sure the Nike stuff at the Olympics matters, but the only prudence would be that his old College coach is taking over the CU job. Carlson is bring Jacobs who got 5th at the USA trial in the 5k.
Maybe they could form a Mike Smith type of setup, he lives in Boulder already so no move required. CU is a Nike school. Idk he has a great setup with On and seems happy so unless the money is hugely different he will stay.

They can't really dictate what you were in the Village can they?
And I've never understood why some athletes go to NBC interviews like the Today show and still where the official USA stuff. adidas should have a USA kit for Noah to wear to something like that. An NBC interview out of a venue is not an official Olympic event.
For example, I saw Clayton Young on the actual NBC broadcast of the women's marathon. He was wearing Asics. Just because it was the "Olympics" he didn't have to wear Nike anymore as it wasn't the actual meet or a ceremony.
But Nuguse was wearing Nike presumably because they're took him from the medal stand to some NBC interview after and he didn't switch clothes.
To Bob Sack: Are you sure about the shoes?
Here's what Nick Symmonds had to say abut this 9 years ago:
Barring legal action, Team USA won't have Nick Symmonds, its top 800m runner at Worlds, because it wouldn't write a new Statement of Conditions for athletes defining when they needed to wear Nike branded apparel at Worlds.
imagine if kipchoge wore lululemon yoga pants in his "real" sub 2 attempt. he would've easily broken the record and increase men's yoga pants sales by 9000%

I get what you are saying but I don't think Adidas are allowed to make a USA kit. They could make a kit that didn't resemble the USA kit i.e. not stating "USA" and not having the same colors/colorway probably. I would assume there are rules to that.
