Any chance that he’s COVID positive and it’s being covered up so he can still run? I mean I don’t know… but no information will make people speculate.

Obv covid. What else would he have that would compel him to mask? Plus, lots of athletes and others have or are reported to have covid at the Olympics.
As far as I know you don't have to sit out if you have Covid. A handful of athletes have already talked about competing while having it over the past couple weeks. They still might want to keep it under wraps especially for the time being if they don't want it to be a topic of discussion though.
The mask is his excuse if he ends up with Bronze again.

Peacock showed him in the green room wearing a mask. Very considerate of him to not want to get others sick. But, what does he have? Is it COVID but without symptoms and he got a pass to continue competing like some of the cyclists during the Tour?
