Women's bodies evolve much more rapidly than men unfortunately. You have menstrual cycles, familial expectations, childbirth, gender stereotypes and many more.
Jogging on a path means nothing. She may very well be injured or coming back from an injury. We’ve seen Ritz athletes hide their injuries then post photos of themselves running on a track only to bomb later in the race.

Of course this gives almost no insight into her buildup but we can now assume that she is still planning on racing in Paris and considering Brigid Kosgei was pulled from the team after discussing with coaches about struggling with injury I'd think Obiri is in decent shape/health but we won't know until the race is run
Obiri did have an injury after Boston and only had about 6 weeks of proper training after a lot of cross training. Bronze is an impressive result especially given those circumstances
Come on. Injuries happen. Unfortunate it's an olympic year when they occurred
go dathan! give her some of that l-carnitine (less than 50cc iv, of course...).
norris, klecker, monson, mcdonald, and now obiri????
At the time of writing this, the above post has 41 up arrows to 7 down. Across the thread, there is wide speculation to the point of certainty that Obiri is injured, won't be running, and that it's all Dathan's fault.
I'm curious, 1) why some are so motivated to see athletes and coaches fail that they are willing to convince themselves with no evidence that these athletes are injured / won't be running / etc. 2) will those who were so quick to jump to conclusions on this thread return to acknowledge how off base they were?

Soo, any thoughts? Any chance you show humility and admit you were wrong and were making assumptions about Obiri that were completely unfounded?

Why? Because these are mostly washed-up, has-been or never-been hobby joggers who are so ashamed by their own pathetic lack of performance that their fragile ego requires them to attempt to make up some fairytale to pretend that everyone else is worse or cheating.

Yeah I'll admit I was wrong. I could've certainly worded my post better and it's another example of not looking too far into things people post on social media
