Wrong. A world championships medal is very relevant. Ask Justin Gatlin!

Now that's disappointing. Shelby started this thread over 15 hours ago, and nobody has told her yet how many days this year has.
Don’t worry. After the leap year, Shelby will make a leap into reclaiming her US 5,000 meter record.

i would say cranny’s indoor 14:33 is more relevant than her outdoor PR from 2020. She has only really races championship 5k’s outdoors since then and hasnt really gone for an outdoor PR
How about shelbo work on getting W2.
Threads like this prove how Americans may condemn Kenyans and Russians but are all in favour of their own cheats.
Think the 10,000 night be her best event on her return. I trust (and hope) she won't be troubling the medals though.

I could see her taking down Weini's new American half marathon record next year.
Convicted felons serve time and re-enter society. Do you follow them around heckling them and telling employers not to hire them? Houlihan served a 5 year ban for breaking a rule in an obscure sport. Of course we should support her comeback.

So it's her 3 year banniversary. In one year Shelby competing.

Most burglars go straight back to burgling.
Shelby will run the marathon. She’s had five years to build a base and up her threshold. Why go back to the track at age 32?
It’s different for a 1500 runner. They can still do well in the 5000 in their 30’s. Look at Bernard Lagat.

There’s still a correlation between the 1500m and the 5. If she’s passed her prime in the 15, she won’t be any better at 5000m. If you check the all-time lists, people run their lifetime PRs in the 5000m during their mid-20s. Even if you find some outliers, it’s still a long shot for Shelby be as good in the 5000m as she was before the ban.

Stop it, Shelby. Just stop it.
Hate her or love her there is no denying that as of this year she is not banned for a positive drug test she is banned for having the audacity to challenge Usada and demande a trail.

Come again? What? She didn't have a positive drug test? She challenged USADA? She demanded a trail?
You clearly are delusional.

lol. Good comp
She has served sentence, so is it possible for her to be released from her Let’s Run burrito sentence or is just going to chastised by the Let’s Run children of their mom’s basement brigade forever!
let’s go Shelby!
