It isn't that she is the same. Astro said that her career is similar to Monson's. It is much more like Cain's than Monson's. Cain and Tuohy were both teen phenoms. Monson was a good high school runner. Nearly all elite American runners were good high school runners while most phenoms fizzle out. Ping was very early. Lane and Cain were about the same age. Effraimson didn't really improve but extended her plateau. Tuohy is on a path most similar to that of Efraimson but her development has been nothing like Monson or Schweizer.
She needs to suffer 5 stress factors and sue Adidas before Cain will become a good comp.

When it comes to Tuohy, LR is nuts. In early 2022, people were predicting she would ultimately break Houlihan’s 150Om and 5000m records. Now, people believe she has peaked. The posts about her in the past were so over the top I kinda was rooting against her, but now I’m her biggest fan.

Touhy progression is inline with monson and Schweitzer btw. Even with the injury her freshmen year, she is progressing faster than other runners. Zofia dudek was the no1 recruit, touhy no2. Any idea how dudek is doing?
The thread is any update on touhy, does anybody know? Last week was finals, this week is graduation, probably to New York for holidays. Does she move to flagstaff in Jan? Who is her coach in flagstaff?
I can list 1000 runners in the NCAA who have progressed more. Valby is a better version of Schweizer. Pointing out the very elite high school runners who failed is not the grop you want to use as a barometer. History has a way of repeating itself. Monson and Schweizer were unknow runners when they entered college.
Nobody knows Astro. Many of us may be the same sex, race, income level, education level, live in the same state, have the same number of children, etc. We are running fans which is why we are here so we have that in common. If we start a thread asking who was the best teen, distance, female runner in the US, they are 2 of about 5 who will be in the discussion. yet there are billions of people in the world. And you calim that they aren't similar when they are in a group of .000000000001. meeting that criteria. Ryun, Webb, and Kessler have absolutely nothing in common as teens either.

The believe she peaked for three reasons:
1. They overlook that she ran NCAA's sick. She probably should not have run but it was nationals.
2. She lost to Valby twice after beating her last year. As if runners don't trade wins through out careers.
3. They're just hate filled, jealous losers who hate to see anyone succeed because they're never excelled at anything themselves.
