Will probably come out of nowhere to win gold at the championship. That's what Jamaican women do!
Read my mind.
SAFP will run 10:60 at some obscure meet two weeks before the World Championships and then destroy everyone. After she will win the Diamond League Final and disappear until the Olympics.
Neither SAFP nor ETH will be a factor this year.
Apart from Ta Lou and maybe Jackson, ScR’s path to 100m gold is clear.
Ta Lou is on fire🔥. Her form looks better, more front-side, and more discipline through the line.
Let’s face it, ScR has a lot of haters. What will the haters say about her when she is the world champion in the 100?
She may end up winning the USATFs for the 200 as well. Chances she is the world champ in the 100 & 200?
In all honesty I don’t believe she can beat Shericka Jackson in the 200, but I’ll not be surprised if she is the USA’s top 200 runner ahead of Gabby Thomas or Tamara Clark.
obvious doper is obvious. She served her ban, which they covered up as a marijuana ban, and is back on the sauce with knowledge of how to to better beat the tests.
Why do you think she, uniquely, has haters? People shouldn't be surprised that their rude, abrasive and controversial behavior and personality aren't likeable.
So do you believe that she still acts as you are describing or are you just a hater?
And what’s the whole “uniquely” thing about? You state it as if she is the only person that has haters.
Haters gonna hate…
Yeah, I do think her personality and attitude are the same. Look at this video: she's needlessly rude, conceited, hostile, and thinks the whole world is out to get her. That's just who she is, which is her choice, but it's really not surprising that all those things make her very unlikable.
Sha’Carri Richardson met with reporters ahead of her 100m race at the LA Grand Prix on Sunday. Richardson is currently the fastest woman in the world at 100m...
^^^^^^To add to that: look at the difference in tone and professionalism from 4:21 onward. That is someone who comes across well and is likeable, not the rude and abrasive attitude she shows normally.

Sha'Carri, Sydney and Athing are not Black? Where are all the comparable threads about non-Black female runners? S0 deep is the hatred here that it extends to non-track & field sports with Simone Biles, Naomi Osaka, Brittney Griner? Or maybe you're new to this board.

Black woman doesn't run, criticize her for not running. Black woman runs fast, focus on her personality, looks, anything non-running related.
If you don't have anything good to say, maybe don't say anything at all?
Refer to my username. The sport is full of black women running fast; the reason people don't like Sha'Carri specifically is because of her personality. Why are you looking for other reasons when people are telling you directly what the problem is?
Countless athletes are successful in the sport without generating controversy or 'haters', which is because they carry themselves professionally and aren't constantly hostile.
After her suspension and given all the toxic people who are around the world of elite sprinters, there were way more ways for SCR to go off the rails than there were for her to get it together and have the season she is having. Whether or not you like her interview or social media presence, you have to give her credit for her focus on her training this season given the microscope she has been under.
I think the only question for SCR is whether 10.7 is a barrier for her or whether she can go any lowers. I think 10.7 can win at worlds, but it may take closer 10.6. SCR looks pretty relaxed reeling off 10.71 and may show her cars with another PR in the final. But Ta Lou and the Jamaicans may be ready to go under 10.7 at Worlds.

I'm thinking that she still has some in the tank and can get down to 10.6ish - maybe 10.63 to 10.67 range.
I still have not watched video of her heat. did she stay focused all the way through the line? She has had some results this season that she started celebrating a bit too early or eased up a bit early. When it comes to the WC she can lose if she does that. She seems more mature this year so I would think she will show restraint in celebrating and to run hard all the way through the finish.

hah hah, yes, how perceptive of you: das "racist"!
even though the Invisible Mu has been a disgrace to the profession and the sport-- if you care about either and not just her $$ and shopping sprees.
read any Molly S or Touhy threads lately?
or, if you want to suggest we're just sexist-- and insufficiently "trans friendly" for strongly defending women's sports and right-- read any Max Seagull or Rupp or Symmonds etc etc threads in the last 10 years?

Ok, I just watched video of her heat from yesterday. There was no celebrating before the line but she eased up a bit. After seeing that I honestly don't feel as if she'll have a problem getting under 10.7. I could even see her getting a bit lower than the 10.63 that I mentioned above.

Interesting. If you believe this result, then the time would be a lot lower with max legal wind, getting her down to your range. Can she run a faster basic race? idk. For some reason I don’t think so, I think that 10.7 is the max she has shown.
BUT she is solid, repeating these types of results. If not this year, then maybe next.
