Peacock has live stages and can replay them as well, and one month subscription cost $4.99/mo. Just signed up.
Agreed, it's not much money but dammit, it's the principle of the thing. My husband's a tennis fan, so I suppose we'll watch Wimbledon instead, without paying anything extra.
I signed up today too, at a special rate of $2.99/mo for one year. I do not use Peacock often, and was surprised and annoyed to learn I was going to have to do this. Quite convenient for Xfinity to get rid of free Peacock Premium, right before the start of the Tour.
For at least the last 10 years, cable TV has been all about paying more and more money, to receive worse and worse service.
In the US, it is sure not as easy to watch this year. It's no longer on NBC for 3 weeks. It's NBC for the first and last stage and Peacock the rest of the time. I just realized xfinity dropped peacock from the package as of tomorrow. wtf!
I logged into free PeacockTV on the internet, and it's letting me watch the Stage 1 highlights (21:25 long) without a subscription. NBC Sports on YouTube has a 21:32 long highlights for the same stage. We'll see tomorrow, but there's a chance that if you only want to watch the highlights rather than live, you'll be able to watch it for free on one other the other platform. The official Tour de France channel on YouTube also has a 9:41 highlight for Stage 1 that I'm sure they will keep going.
I usually watch the highlights and then, if an interesting stage, commentary from Chris Horner or Johann (yeah, boo/hiss). It looks like Phil Gaimon is giving it a go this year too. Today, I listened to the last 15 minutes of the Stage 1 live on the cyclingdane YouTube channel, and will watch the highlights on YouTube in a bit.

Daily Tour De France stages can also be seen on the USA Network.

It appears USA Network has stages 3-7, but after that USA has only replays of the previous day's stage shown in the middle of the night.

$2.99 for one month’s worth of entertainment is pretty good deal. Not as good as free but whatever. I may keep the subscription going through the end of the vuelta before cancelling. It also looks like the t&f champs will be on peacock btw
Tadej Pogacar mocked rival Wout van Aert who was visibly frustrated after finishing second in Stage 2 of the 2023 Tour de France behind winner Victor Lafay.
Lafay is having a incredible start. Only one to be able to follow Poga/Vingegaard yesterday, even daring to attack them. And this masterclass today! Refreshing.

It's the previous days stages on USA. I sucked it up and paid the $2.99. it goes up to $4.99 in a year
How about that stage 1 ending? The Yates twins getting to duke it out for a win and the yellow! Tadej and Jonas look ready to rumble. Powless (American) takes the polka dots!!
That was fun! worth the peacock subscription. Agree with amkelley. it's the principle that pisses me off.
Funny story that Jai came over for Canberra Tour many years ago as a young 11 year old and gave his dad a ride in the convoy of cars following the event. Wish Michael Matthews was racing this year.
