Exactly- we wouldn't accept someone jumping lanes to impede in a 100m or 200m just because they're tying up. The odd jostle in an 800m is expected but blatantly blocking a faster finisher is like kicking someone's golf ball into the rough when they're beating you. Sure you might win, but you aren't better at golf.
