Geb will be remembered for his rivalries with the Kenyans as well. One of the greatest races of all time was the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games where Geb just beat his long time rival Tergat. I used to enjoy watching Geb's races, as a lot of them used to be races. I don't think i have really enjoyed watching any of Bekele's races (apart from his WR's) as he is just so much better than his opposition.
Part of the reason Seb Coe and Steve Ovett will be remembered for a long time is because of the rivalry they had and their great races at the Olympics. Their times have been totally eclipsed now but their legends live on.
I'm not sure that Bekele will ever be remembered in the same way whilst he doesn't have someone else to push him in races. He will just be some fast Ethiopian whereas Geb will be remembered.
