I was having a good workout today. It was my first tempo run after a recent two week break, and I was feeling pretty good. With about a half mile to go, I slowly passed someone riding a bike who shouted out "excuse me, excuse me, hey." I grumbled back, "I'm on a workout!" and proceeded to run the last half mile on pure anger. This seems to happen to me once or twice each year. My wife doesn't understand why I get so angry about this. She thinks I'm the rude one, but I find random people asking me for stuff, while I'm running, to be completely obnoxious. Don't we all have cell phones these days? What do these people want? Does this piss any of you off as much as it does me?
This happens to me and it never pisses me off. I help anyone who asks for directions as best I can. Often times its hard to find someone outside who you can ask. I feel bad if I realize I gave bad directions - usually I try to help them, but occasionally have to guess at how to get where they want to go.
A couple times in my life I've become lost while running and had to ask for directions myself. Once my intuition was wrong and I would have become hella lost with no phone, no money, no id on me - nothing but my sweaty running clothes in an unfamiliar area.
With gps on every phone its become a lot less common for anyone to ask for directions, but I still get asked every now and then by others on the trails or out in remote kind of confusing areas I sometimes go.

Sounds like you have a problem controlling your emotions. Do you hit your beard too? I mean, your wife.
